Re: Football : Season 08/09
I always knew that Arsenal win games on dogdy goals, the Gallas goal that won it for Arsenal was OFFSIDE, it was spotted by TV, but the pocksy officials didn't give it, l wonder how much Whinging Wenger gave Mike Riley, and did you see Barmby run onto the pitch, I how Chlesea beat em. I'll support Chelsea on that day.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
What an arrogant, ignorant French prat Wenger is, his side win by an offside goal and he storms off down the tunnel without shaking hands with anyone from Hull.
Still, it confirms my opinion that M Riley is one of the worst refs on show ATM.
Jim.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
What is it with all you guys? United always "get the dodgy decisions", Arsenal "Always get the dodgy decisions" and so on.
It's bad, Yes. One of the reasons I think we need to use technology more considering the high price losing a match can cost. It's football though. Both United and Arsenal would have had decisions go against them as well as for them this season.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
I don't give a damn, who the side is, if you get a goal and it is OFFSIDE, or its HANDLED in the box and a goal is scored from it, then the goal should not stand, and again clearly the officials are again poor.
The Gallas goal was clearly offisde, and if l am not wrong this official has been involved in dodgy decisions more than once this season, Mike Riley is the worst referee in the PL at the moment, the best officials l have seen is Howard Webb and Mark Halsey.
We have to have another offical in the stand, who can watch a monitor and send a signal to the officials, if the goal goes over the line or is offisde.

Haven't seen the goal, Does seem to have been way offside. I still don't know if people are implying Arsenal some how cheated as opposed to being luckily.

It's not like an accusation of cheating by Arsenal has never been unfounded

If someone brings up 1918 or whenever I will scream. I think as a United fan you should be used to accusations of cheating after every game yourself Go back a few pages and you will find them. People hate the top 4/5 clubs and always accuse of them of such things.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Apparently Hull's assistant manager is going to report Fabregas to the FA for spitting in his face on the pitch after the game.
Also reports of a tunnel bust up, no mention of pizzas at this time.

Great. That's all we need, Fabregas getting himself suspended. Wonder what on earth happened, There seems to be a lot of tempers.

I for one totally agree with what Phil Brown said after the game - "For their club captain Cesc Fabregas to spit at my assistant at the end of the game shows you what this club is all about."

I for one don't believe a word Cesc Fabregas says when he denies doing it.

 Not sure about that.
As a neutral I thought Arsenal at times were superb and deserved to win by more........ (dawns tin hat and retreats to bunker)

Well that's idiotic because it does not show what are Arsenal are about. You really want to get into everything stupid a United Player does and say it is a indication of the club as a whole?
I want to know exactly what happened, It began as 'Spat in his face on the pitch', then it became 'Spat at his feet in the tunnel'. Did he just spit in the tunnel or was it obviously a intentional spit directed at the Assistant Manager?
We may never know because:

Hull should report it. It's not "tittle-tattling", it's following the proper channels. They have already made the accusation to the media so they should allow a proper Investigation to either suspend Fabregas or clear him of wrong doing.
As opposed to that they have selected to tell the media then claim a high ground of not reporting it to the FA. It should be the other way around!
Hopefully the FA will investigate anyway.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
I think this is blown out of all proportion. The accusation is that he spat at the assistant managers' feet.
Shock horror - Footballer spits on ground exlusive
If he had gobbed full on his face I could see what the fuss was about.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
As much as I love seeing Arsenal getting in trouble, it's worth noting that spitting at someone is classed as assault and is dealt with the same way by the courts.
Seeing as there doesn't appear to be any mention of police involvement, it looks like we'll have to wait another day for Arsenal to get docked points.
