Was 750, now back to 600
Well, on 2/8/04 I went up to 750, now I'm back down to 600, according to the autoregister page (I get a DNS error when I try to look at the cable modem config page).
Anyone in Brighton getting their upgrade to stick?
Grrrrr !

Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades
Well, I've had the upgrade (600 - 750K) for a few days now, but it's been a bit of a mixed blessing for me.
Ever since I finally got broadband late last year (Lewisham & Greenwich) I've been proxy free, and my connection has been all the better for it.
However, the evening after the upgrade, I suddenly got that old surfing in cold treacle effect... you guessed it! Checked my connection at allnettools and there it was, I'd been proxified.
I've since set a different proxy and things have got much better. But it's not the same...

Have you noticed though, that sometimes the speed falls back to 600k, I have' the upgrade because I've had speeds of 730K, but lately it's not reaching that mark.

Re: [Merged] BB Speed Upgrades
Not sure if anyone has mentioned this before, but a point to bear in mind with the months given is that they will almost certianly be the date they expect all upgrades in an area to be completed (inc any STB's). So you may well find yourself upgraded before the specified month, esp if you are on a SACM.
