Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
Midweek games for the select few lower division fans amongst us:
Nottm Forest v Blackpool
Cambridge v Burton
Rochdale v Oxford
Bournemouth v Lee Trundle
Any more lower division fans?

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
i was at the game on Sat and Queiroz says they played 442 which was a load of rubbish the team played rubbish and should have been all out attack against Blackburn and then killed the game off in the first half like we used to do.. don't like saying it but i think Fergie has stayed a season or to too long at OT

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
some of his actions of late are very strange and just childish.. i won't tallk to MUTV as they critised me.. not talking to the BBC.. after 2 years because they did a program about his son.. he only does press confs with the champions league as it's in the contract the clubs sign that they have to do it
what is even more worrying is that after the WC Sven is likely to be out of a job and Man U will be needing a new manager.. given a choice between Sven and Fergie i'd rather have Fergie.. if we get Sven we will be even worse but i can see this happening in the summer

Yup i think he's going to have to have a long hard talk with the backroom People
at Utd over the summer. i'd never thought i would say this but the club is better
Off with out him now thay can't win the title while Fergie is still here.
I thought the thing with the bbc was a life time ban.

To be honest i don't think Fergie is to blame, i think ever since he took on Queiroz as his number two the club has gone downhill. He has put it in to Fergies head that 4-5-1 or 4-2-3-1 is a good idea, but it never works. This season we haven't been scoring goals, except for tap ins and people are starting to realise that in the last few games.
He tried it at Madrid and it failed and he is attempting it again at United and it isn't working.
If anyone needs to go its Queiroz.

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
whilst i agree with the some of the above the Fergie of old never would have had the tactics dictated but his No 2 anyway
yes Queiroz does has too much influence but it's Fergie who's giving that to him.. maybe they both should go as long as we don't get Sven to replace him :-(
just hope we can put in a good performance tonight.. watched the last game whilst i was out in Madrid and the performance was terrible

Yep, I am taking the plunge tonight with another visit to the Abbey Stadium.
My workmate rang me this morning to see if I wanted to go, and because he is a Nottingham Forest fan, I think he just wants Nigel Clough's autograph
Prediction U's 3 Burton Albion 1

IMO opinion, uniteds performances took a turn for the worse after McClaren left to take up the Middlesborough job, I think they were a good team those two. (Ferguson and McClaren that is)
