I offered my opinion. You offered yours. Are you saying that as a "new poster" I should not offer my opinion?

I based it on the content that Tivo offers, (on demand music, catch up, series catch up and apps) and not necessarily the number of channels.

What I will agree with you though is that Virgin do need to pull their socks up a little as they seem to becoming complacent.

It depends what else BT snap up the rights to, 30 odd premiership games, rugby and a bit of tennis not felt in my household. Maybe more in others but certainly not enough to leave

I hate Murdoch but the BT Sport fiasco is the final straw.

I have been on chat with Sky and for the identical package that i have now 2 boxes, i have been quoted £72. I pay £81.00 with Virgin for less channels! I have also seen on seenit.co.uk that Sky are offering a transfer over with BT Sport paid as a credit for 12 months..in other words..free..

I have just got off the phone to Virgin. The sky package for 2 boxes was £72.25. Virgin have offered a reduction to £74.74 including an upgrade to 60 meg broadband. At least the saving will pay for visits to the pub to watch BT Sports matches if I need to..James in customer Services seemed genuine and sincere. He even accepted that both sides are to blame for the BT Sport fiasco..

So I will stay..but hope they will get BT Sport, although without Virgin I think BT Sport will lose money hand over fist...!

With respect Den, hardly knee jerk, BT Sports has already launched. The 17th is the launch of the Premiership there has been and is other sport before then.

I think the time has come and gone personally. I am just grateful that i have no need for BT sport or i would be seriously considering changing service providers.
