And what's wrong with her dealing with minority issues..It's hardly a crime?

She probably put on that patronising 'counsellor' tone and looked up into the sky while doing it too.

Re: Diane Abbott apologises in 'race' row
Simple slip of the tongue or sign of some ingrained prejudice? I reckon if it'd been a white middle class male who'd made a similar statement it would have been automatically assumed by Ms Abbott to be the latter. Having campained about stereotyping (racial and sexual) since joining parliament, she really ought to know better than indulge in it herself.

Re: Diane Abbott apologises in 'race' row
Just out of interest if Mrs Abbot was referring to events from the colonial days why did she use the present tense in her tweet?

The Tweet she referred too was this:
Quote:
|
"I do wish everyone would stop saying 'the black community.' WHICH ONE?
|
to which Abbott replied:
Quote:
|
White people love playing "divide & rule" We should not play their game #tacticasoldascolonialism
|
So yeah, she wasn't quoted out of context at all.
Personally I think it's a silly little gaff but she has a bit of a reputation for those now, could be damaging.

Re: Diane Abbott apologises in 'race' row
Meanwhile dithering Ed Miliband does nothing about this racist remark other than phone her to tell her off a bit.
If Miliband is truly in charge at Labour then he needs to deal with this now or have Labour dragged through the gutter. As leader he should sack her now.

Perhaps we should ask his brother to take charge as out of the two he is superior in all aspects.

I've just come off the phone to Eddy. I told him to hurry up and pull his finger out.
I won't post his number so you'll just have to take my word for it.
