Good to see Nottingham's about to be done in the near future. I wondered why it wasn't one of the first done.

There's a nice Diamond Cable duct cover right outside my house, and the green cabinet's just off the wall!

Seems to have shot past the halfway mark (UBR-wise), So I'm guessing that's way more than most of the population.

it is odd considering portsmouth is a city, for it not to be done, they have done the cosham head end, and all the little towns that are around portsmouth, but they haven't done portsmouth.

You don't even need to run coax from his house to yours. Just put splitter on the coax in your house and connect both modems.

York's similar, but Virgin's cable coverage in York isn't massive, it probably only covers 50% of the area. So I can see why they're hanging fire really.

Just phoned up to try get the 50mb, as available in my area from yesterday, spoke to the indian call centre, guy said it was available but had no offers on it atm and would phone me back when they did, what does no offers mean ?

It probably means you need to call back until you don't get an indian call centre.

Trouble is for me as a potential customer of 50 meg the longer it takes the less i want to sign up, they have said once its rolled out fully they will introduce a STM so makes me wonder why bother when some users have had the luxury of using it unlimited since January.

Still, it'll probably be throttled at 75% which leaves us with 12.5mb. I was perfectly happy with my uncapped 10mb connection so I'll just look at this as a slightly faster 10mb with 50mb bursts

cant help but notice Upgraded and Awaiting Upgrade has stockport in both.
i im in denton south manchester and on the cpc2-stkp6.manc.cable.ntl.com ubr.
post checker says as of yet its not available.
how reliable is the postcode checker and is it possiable that i may beable to ring up and get it ? lol
