Bedside radio has broken. It's the tuning cord that connects the front knob to the pointer and tuning capacitor. It's quite old Bush VTR178 so I need to work out how to dismantle it to get to the relevant bits.

Quite a sentimental bit of kit as it was the first thing I bought when I started to work for money in a shop aged 16. Amazing how it survived.

I put the lights up on the garage a week or so ago and started cursing when only half a of them worked. I then noticed the button that made them do all sorts of wonderful things. Its only the 5th year I've put them up.

My Alexa is deaf, I sometimes have to ask twice, other times she says 'I don't know that one' when I haven't even asked her anything. Maybe she is related to Mr Tink |

Mine talks to the TV. I'm thinking of changing her name to Ziggy in the hopes that stops the TV triggering her.
It wouldn't be so bad if John realised he couldn't join in the conversation between her and the TV. It gets a tad surreal at times with John being deaf and asking the TV and Alexa to repeat things.

If only I could choose my own word but it would be something I couldn't write here that's for sure. For me they are frustrating.

Maybe one of those would work for you. The Echo version only being 2 syllables may work. I set "Echo" up for a friend who had problems with the name Alexa and since I did the dang thing works for her.

Trying to renew the house insurance. As it was in my dead husband’s name it’s not straightforward. I’m hanging on through esure chat. Of course they are incredibly busy and keep saying they appreciate my custom…..
