Hi as per earlier posts in the thread there are no details on when areas are being enabled for 50MB they are simply announced the day of or before the area is enabled.

Thank you for your reply Stephen, I thought there may be some new information on the 50MM upgrade, regards Den

In any case for your birthday ask for some real genuine Blu Rays or similar if you can still remember how to open a retail movie's case of course!

Re: 50Mb areas
I've been thinking, I should get the 50mbit as a new contract as it will probably end up being slower than my 20mbit, don't want to pay more for less..
Have two connections until the 50mbit is stable, then terminate the 20mbit contract.

Re: 50Mb areas
cpc2-eswd4-0-0-cust**.renf.cable.ntl.com think im on Eastwood, not seen it mentioned yet but postcode checker saying its available now, hasnt any other time ive checked, is right next to Thornliebank though. If postcode checker saying its available does that mean Eastwood been upgraded also ?

Re: 50Mb areas
You're in luck. Thornliebank is the new name for Eastwood.

Re: 50Mb areas
I've already got a box that has a gigabit card and another card with four lan ports. It was used to test some load balance software for a client a few years back. In theory, each port can support about 200mbit, then have it merged into one connection back up the gigabit nic. That would be epic, upload would still be shocking though
If only i could get on the 200mbit test 4x200mbit would be, swift...
