Re: Channel renumbering - your views.
Why do they need to change them for? I'm happy with the way they are

It pleases Universal as they're more likely to get viewers via channel surfers.

Re: Channel renumbering - your views.
Has it not occurred to the powers that be that none of us really give a stuff about where the channels are. It would be be a good idea if they could provide a dynamic EPG so that the next time they move channels (apparently on a random basis) we at least have a chance of finding something worth viewing. How many channels were relocated?

Was it worth the effort Jameseh? Can't think of a logical explanation for it

Re: Channel renumbering - your views.
If it pleases Universal so much that I can watch Psych in HD they can change the numbers round every day for all I care.

Re: Channel renumbering - your views.
Only if VM can show Universal in HD. There are a few shows that I would watch if they were in HD. Ancient Law and Order and CSI's don't really do it for me. Difference of opinion I suppose .

We might not care but where would the listing magazines be without numbers?

Re: Channel renumbering - your views.
Given the fact that we have newspapers delivered each day, the TV guide would be out of date before the paper went to print. Thus the necessity for a dynamic EPG on VM's boxes. I switched to VM from Sky because the Sky HD+ died after 15 months. Then they wanted to charge £64 to send an engineer out to tell me what I already knew (the video chip went on the mobo). To add insult to injury they then wanted £199 for a new HD+ box.

Re: Channel renumbering - your views.
I would have been happier if they grouped channels together, e.g. Dave, Dave+1, DaveHD channels 128, 129 and 130 respectivly. Would make the guide a bit tidier. I'd also like to see them add a feature that the Sky epg has, where when you are browsing the guide you can press ok on a channel and the mini screen changes channel but keeps the guide open instead of changing the channel and closing the guide.
