Who knows?? I personally rarely used reminders on the V+ but I appreciate a lot of people used them and miss them on TiVo.
I guess if enough people feed back to VM about it then they might do something about it. I'm sure it was mentioned in the VM community support forum so hopefully your wish will be granted in the near future

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Just had my second TiVo installed, missed the £3 per box charge and nicely future-proofed myself in one go!

Pretty much agree , from the recent surveys they've sent me they seem to be developing Sky Go further and increasing the functionality of their mobile apps I know there doing some kind of trialling the Sky+ app to access your planner , use as a remote etc and a multiroom DVR , however they're going to lose the race to VM here in my opinion.

Would be nice if VM did a similar service as Sky Go, it is handy when away from home and you wanna watch the footy haha

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
Hello, I apologise if this question has been answered further down the thread but I am quickly asking the question on my phone and I didn't want to have to quickly search through.
I would like to know if it is possible to use the search and browse TV function to search on demand and catch up too?
I ask this because I am looking to purchase TiVo after the 15.2 update although when searching for Snow Patrol on my sisters TiVo yesterday, the only results I got were for shows on MTV Rocks and none of the music videos available on demand.
Thanks,
Matt.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
TiVo can already search VoD - except Music On Demand.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
So are there any plans for it to search MoD or is this seen as a TV search feature only.
Not checked for a long time, but I think MoD does have a search facility when you are in MoD but request here is to search all content irrelevant of source.
I've seen a USA demo of Tivo Premiere searching multiple content sources e.g. TV, Netflix, Blockbuster, etc but not sure it goes far as MoD or even if that type of service is available in the USA (Just don't know).

I was wondering the same , the TIVO premiere search feature enabling you to search amazon on demand , Netflix , Blockbuster OD and linear TV is amazing.

why is that?
tis a minor irritation because trying to find songsd is a pain.
even search by artist leads to every song in the list by each artist, very strange and time consuming.

But if you notice all of those are for TV programmes or Films not music videos
I don't think TiVo has the metadata to be able to search Music Videos at the moment
As an example you can set up a wishlist for Actor or Director, but not Singer or Composer

I get you , only a minor niggle I suppose , the search will be invaluable if services such as Netflix and Lovefilm get added.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 2
It is still an impressive search feature even without music and the lack of metadata make sense for now (wonder what spotify will do though since online can search their database by singer/group/album?).
If VM can activate that search capability when they reach agreements with the likes of Lovefilm, Netflix, etc, then they really do detach you from TV channels and into content delivery (and way ahead of Sky) and that is where I believe VM want to get to (don't care where the source is, just find what I want to watch).
