Re: Football Season 2015/2016
I'm quite happy Den.
Maybe after today's antics levy and the chickens of North London will realise that they are not a big club.
The way they have gone about transfer business exposes them as the insignificant *******s that they are.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
There are reports in Spain that De Gea might actually sign a new contract now and is being advised to by his people. This is one of the biggest balls up i've ever seen!

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Or this is another Wayne Rooney situation. Remember the other year when he said he was going to leave for City, and then hey presto a new contract appeared with everything he wanted in there. Bet this was just a whole ruse to get a new contract tailored heavily in favour of the player.

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
The only thing for certain is De Geas 'advisors' will get him games to play in. De Gea will most probably get himself focused again with or without the contract renewal. Will LVG rather Valdes over De Gea as second choice? Valdes wont change or he might with all this in the air ?

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Players can still leave quickly even after a new contract is signed so one suspects even if he did sign a new contract it would mean diddly squat as the only thing it might do is increase his transfer fee.

Or he might've realised if they actually wanted him they wouldnt have waited to the last second to try and get him? But yeah, its almost certainly for the money

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Firstly, Spurs are NOT chickens from North London.
Daniel Levy, is known for this. He is a shrewd businessman - and a skinflint, who wont break a certain Budget.
What is making me laugh is that Levy, is paying Adebeyor is paying £150.000 per week (Man City are paying so much towards it) to train with the Academy.
He is a proven striker, yet Poch wont play him.
Levy, since he has been in charge is well known for being tight-fisted. BUT, the story behind Berinho, is that Levy wanted to pay 5 mil up front and the rest over a certain period BUT, When Albion wanted Fazio, they wanted to do the same deal. But Levy wouldn't accept it
So just read behind the lines
But there again we have signed FIVE players compared to ONE for Arsenal - that's why the Gunners have a lot of money.
Can l understand the frustration of Gunner fans

Re: Football Season 2015/2016
Any twit could go out and buy with a budget. Question is what are you bringing back? Its more Mr bs skinflint businessman than anything else. The real definition of a skinflint is over the other side of North London!
Adebayor is no longer getting subsidised weekly by Man City if ever he was. It was reported both that he was getting subsidised weekly or he got a pay-off. He did get a signing on fee from Tottenham and is now on 100k a-week payable fully by Tottenham.
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/foo...-from-God.html
Saido Berahino has a price tag. a similar tag Tottenham had no issues paying for Soldado? Did Levy say to himself that he doesn't want to get stung again lol Berahinos somewhat proven in the league is he not? weighing it all up is it the same sort of gamble as an experienced player having zero PL games?
As for the other side of North London. The squad needs to remain fit. A fully fit squad can challenge for the title. Five to one signings means nothing neither does the fact Arsenal have money. Arsenal even with the weakest squad on record under Wenger and the handicap of the stadium managed to out do so soo many bar title winners/challengers.
