They've listed Sky on demand as a positive for Sky and Virgin on demand as a negative for TiVo.
Not a credible review.

The TIVO has got a plus point of large HDD and it's listed in the review.

What was the cost of the 500GB when the 1TB was £149?

I'm sure its always been £49.95.
VM have set the standared on TiVo refunds now so if this rumour was true, surely customers who have paid for their 500Gbs will be expecting their money back.

It could easily happen but I think the current V HD/500/1000 = £0/£50/£100 model makes much more sense otherwise once the TiVo's bugs are fixed they're going to be left with a boatload of V HD boxes to go with their V+HD boxes.

Virgin Media has revealed that The Apprentice is the most searched TV show on its TiVo service, while the new converged TV platform is also changing the way users find and watch programmes.

The refunds were given out to customers who were offered a "special customer" discount for getting Tivo early. Then the price was dropped below the "special discount" price.
So VM quite rightly refunded customers who had took the offer believing it would save them money for going for Tivo early as it it actually turned out it had cost them more.
Anyone who has a Tivo at the current price was not offered any special deal just offered the product at a set price. So there will be no need to refund them. Just like 3 months ago a Sky 1TB box was £249 and its not possible to get it for £49. ITS JUST LIFE.
