i suppose you could try routing via the tor network to try an indirect connection (http://tor.eff.org) but im not sure id trust putting login information though a public proxy network though.
is there a firewall or anything on your end that could block the connection
either that or something on the server that could block the connection
Neither of those can cause the trace he posted. It looks like an ntl issue - the router at 62.253.188.154 does not appear to know where next to send the packets, or it is dropping them for some reason, or the route it is using is broken.
