Which is it? He doesn't know how to use them, or he's not allowed to use them?

Like I said, the example is using a service of that industry as any average customer would. Customers don't make the coffee in coffee shops.
An actually relevant example would be you not knowing how to operate a coffee cup. Then again I wouldn't be at all surprised.
|
Of course I can read, what a stupid remark.
And how on earth have you come to the conclusion that I may not know how to use a coffee cup?

Both. He was asked if it was true that he couldn't use a cash machine and he said yes, but went on to say that his wife had banned him from using them after saying the PIN number out loudly on occasion.

No it won't.
What might be interesting is if the programme said something about his view of the wretched SH saga and the misery caused to a significant number of customers.
Remember, Branson is the champion of the (rather disreputable) "Broadband Honesty" campaign.

He would have just looked blankly at the interviewer as apart from advertising he has no dealings with the company.
As far as the company is concerned they might have said "What issue with what device, we have just made that the default kit across all tiers so the must not be an issue with it". ( A guess by me nothing more. )

Well, of course, Peter_. You've got it precisely.
But RC will no doubt grace us with his take on Branson's speil later tonight.

You can leave the underscore of that was just to get my name on here as the mods tend to just have their names.

Oh dear! Don't get me going on this!
There's plenty for you to read about and augment your knowledge about the SH saga in the forum. I commend it as better reading than RB's book (without even seeing RB's book - I could have lied)!

Re: Sir Richard Branson on TV-17th Jan 2012
I've had a look and the VM just says that it is "available to all VM BB customers". Is it free?
The idea of saving power by combining the modem and router is a good idea, but users have reported problems with connectivity drop outs etc.
Has this been resolved yet?
I have noted that some people have resorted to using a third party router...which makes a mockery of the whole idea of the space/energy saving features of the Superhub

Re: Sir Richard Branson on TV-17th Jan 2012
The SH's problems are plastered all over the forums. The SH when in router mode with wireless on is flakey. At best it is a get-you-going device and serious/wise broadband users put their own routers on. The power saving is truly neither here nor there unless you're a chick-pea and couscous eater!
And the SH isn't space saving at all (in a sense). It needs to be vertical for proper wireless operation.
It is free to VM customers and that's why it isn't feature rich; dosh.

Re: Sir Richard Branson on TV-17th Jan 2012
Thanks for the info.
I'd never heard of the SH until here the other day. How have VM been advertising this offer?
My question is probably academic though, as, from what i've read, it's not very good.
Still, I find I have to reset my Linkseys router about once a week. This can be a nuisance, as it is in my home office, which is right on the top floor of the house!
