Indeed she should be sacked and the sooner the better.

+1 Of course there are double standards at play any issue to do with race is softly softly, unless of course you are a person of colour making it.

Dianne Abbot is a well known rabble rouser, but yes if a white well known non coloured public figure had of said the things she did on twitter i would have expected a police van around theirs within an hour arrest and probable prosecution.

Not to mention the sack from the oppositon front bench.

And being excluded as some time guest on Andrew Neils this week show.

When I worked in England earlier this year my HR Head took me to one side and asked if I wanted to take action against a colleague of mine who referred to me as "Taff". I told her I didn't care and was not interested in anything like that.

Yes I'm aware of the huge difference between a Welsh person being called that and a black person being called n***** but it shows that today companies are very racially sensitive.
Oh I’m gonna have taken copies of sensitive information and post them on the internet just to prove a point to you? please!!!!

Because Diane Abbot could be accused of racism ,i certainly feel it was a racist comment ,or are we not allowed to say that because she is black

I wouldn't expect you to post sensitive information but you do have to realise that without backing up what you say, you come across as someone with an unlikely-sounding example who cannot prove it happened. Especially when the media can cite hundreds of examples of the opposite of what you say is happening.

To many people that seems like you're just making it up. If you're not then I apologise but that is how you come across.

If you cannot (or will not) back up your claims then you will just have to accept that people will find it hard to believe you.

Using the word 'coloured' or 'person of colour' is pretty unwise. White is just as much a colour as black (in fact both are 'shades' - not colours). Hansen was unwise to use that word and I think you are too.

The mainstream media wouldn't cite anything that contidicts what I have stated.

If you really want to find out racism in the workplace contact a mainstream union office and i'm sure they provide with information you require.

See how overly sensitive this issue is Russ if you are excluded from using words, in america they use the term "person of colour" as to say anything else is considered too sensitve.

Is using the word black any more acceptable i have tried to tip toe around that word but obviously i have failed.

But i see your point and will use it in future.

Look at it from our perspective.

You've made a claim that a) you cannot back up and b) many of us have seen the opposite in effect.

In fairness, you are the one that made the claim so the responsibility of providing evidence falls on yourself.

Otherwise it just looks like you're putting your opinion forward as fact. As an example I could say 'kingll is a burglar, I can't prove it but I know it's true'. Obviously I am not suggesting you are, but making strong claims without backing them up means nothing.

Black is the preffered word. it is favoured over coloured.

a black person is black, a white person is white.

maybe in a few years we can remind each other about cultural differences by announcing that brown is the new black. and pink is the new white.
