All VM's channels are broadcast in the format the channel owner gives them. It's the same on all platforms.

There is no reason for VM to make a widescreen programme/channel 4:3

I just had to read the whole thread as I could not believe the naivety of the OP who thought it possible to widen old format television shows, I wonder what he would have made of Z Cars if it was ever to be repeated.

Z-Cars? No doubt Virgin Media would short-change its customers by stripping the colour off the pictures. We don't pay our colour telly licences so they can pull tricks like that. Rage against the machine!
