Ha ha, actually, I take it back - if you hadn't replied to my post I probably would have deleted it
I do still think this season has been a bit messy so far, perhaps because of the pace (still, at least it's not as sloooow as the start of season 2).
But my main gripes with ep 4 turned out to not have any real justification - I was just being a muppet
I was extremely confused as to just how the hell Future Peter had been killed by Evil Claire.
... all because I somehow failed to register that The Haitian was present when Evil Claire shot him.
Was also confused as to why Present Peter had to go visit Sylar - surely he would already have Sylar's power, from a past encounter?
But someone pointed out on another forum that although Peter may well have had Sylar's power, he probably wouldn't have realised, & certainly wouldn't have known how it worked or how to use it. Hence the need to visit Sylar & find out. As although sometimes when Peter acquires a power he can use it straight away, other times he has had to learn how to use it (e.g. the training with Claude way back in season 1 which I forgot about).
Although I still have an issue with the show down in Costa Verde... why didn't Peter & Sylar let rip on Evil Claire, Daphne, & the fear-powered guy? OK, maybe they were restraining themselves because of the little boy... but even so, Peter could simply have stopped time...

So what is the general feeling on season 3? should i really give it another go after the fiasco that was season 2?

Yeah, I see what you mean. I don't understand why fixing a watch would show you how to take a power though.
@ Trax. I think it's pretty good so far, I reckon the pace is pretty good and should improve. I think you should give it a try.

Hmm.
I have some reservations, a couple of which were actually wrong on my part (as in prev. post).
I think that, so far, it's better than season 2 at this point.
It's got a much faster pace than season 2 - hits the ground running, or whatever you want to call it - rather than being extremely long & drawn out for several weeks with sod all really happening.

Sylar's power isn't actually simply the ability to take someone else's power though - his actual power is "intuitive aptitude", the ability to know how things work & see how things fit together.
That's what made him such a good watch repairer, & it's why he used the watch as a demo for Peter - Peter used the power he acquired from Sylar to see how the watch worked & how to fix it.
Sylar, obviously, uses his power to take other people's powers. He studies their brains & somehow sees how their power works so he can duplicate it himself.
Future Peter, on the other hand, wanted Present Peter to use Sylar's power so he can see how the timeline works, see what changes have happened & what needs to be done to fix everything.

No, it's much worse, and it's dying badly in the ratings. This week was the lowest rating ever for a new episode. For those who believe in sharks, it's quite clear that Heroes has jumped it.

But also with the downside of the hunger for knowledge craving more input and only by seeing the brains can he collect that knowledge.
We sneak the US time line because daughter like this and cannot stay up late enough for BBC3
Seems much better than the last series with all the threads slowly drawing together (may be why for the now fed viewers it is not so popular).

Re: Heroes - Season 3 (US Timeline)
Well...that was unexpected.
Starts with Arthur turning Adam turning to dust (after stealing his power), & then ends with Arthur stealing all of Peter's powers.
- Pity they killed off Adam. Although it seems Arthur will make a better villain than Adam did. Poor Adam, should have just offered Arthur a blood transfusion!
- Kind of glad they've drained Peter... he was too powerful, even the writers have admitted this before. Bet he's still a muppet though of course.
- Surprised that Maury turned on Adam like that, given that he was Adam's main man in the last season.
- Bored of Mohinder.
- Liked the Claire/Sandra/Meredith stuff.
- Actually quite like the "Sylar's redemption" arc.
Going back a couple of weeks...
It's still really bugging me as to how Peter & Future Claire survived when Future Sylar nuked Costa Verde & reduced it to nothing but a smouldering crater.
Regenerate from injuries etc... yes.
Regenerate from being INCINERATED BY A NUCLEAR BOMB... I think not.

Re: Heroes - Season 3 (US Timeline)
anyone else lost interest in this show?
everytime i watch it someone else dies then dosnt die - or someone is someone elses father/brother/mother -
any show that spends half its time "in a possible future" or has a guy that can travel to any time can afford to do what it likes but i think its just silly now..cant remember the last time we focussed on the characters its all about trying to surpise the viewer with another pointless revalation about the past

Re: Heroes - Season 3 (US Timeline)
I have a bit, I think it needs a proper storyline. I mean, look at it - it has the same as season 1. I also think that they should plan for an end in the show, so that the quality of each episode will increase and it will be easier on the writers. So far, I think there's too many storylines going on that it gets confusing.

Really?
It makes me now wonder why Silar didn't recognise Elle when he was in Level 5, and if he did, how come he tried to take her power, when before he let her go.
Also, why "African Isaac" as Hiro called him, didin't see Arthur coming like he did when Hiro and Ando were after him

Re: Heroes - Season 3 (US Timeline)
I guess he let her go before as he didn't know who she was working for, & as he was only just getting started on being bad... early days of his "hunger".
By the time he tried (& failed) to take her power, he'd have known full well who she really was & worked for, plus he'd been killing people for quite some time so his "hunger" was probably stronger.
Mr African Isaac... dunno, guess he doesn't paint everything. We also don't know the extent of Arthur's powers.
