There was nothing sarcastic about that comment. In fact it was a clear concise well put point.

Final warning people.
This is not a school yard, so stop acting like children. This thread has been re-opened.
If any more childish bickering, fighting or anything else we deem unsuitable continues, then the culprits will start to see their posts vanish and their infraction points rise.

It did pick up on it, just opted not let the fact that a young child from Mexico that was already infected and unfortunately died does not = Virus has now swamped America.

Britain will see "many, many more cases" of swine flu but most of those affected will recover, the government's chief medical adviser has said.
Sir Liam Donaldson told the BBC although some cases would be serious, the UK had a "clear plan" which would help mitigate the virus's impact.
Five people in the UK, including a girl of 12, are known to have the virus, but all are responding well to treatment.
An advertising campaign to help prevent swine flu's spread has been launched.

So the situation seems to be about where it was yesterday at the moment..I see little reason not to carry on with my normal activities for the moment.

Like I said its just clash of opinions/personalitys. It is a forum after all everyone is not going to agree. Plus when certain people see a conspiracy in everything it does make it a bit harder to believe them when there may be one. The saying "The boy who cried wolf" comes to mind.

Re: Pandemic (Swine) Flu
I know people are dying in Mexico, and a few elsewhere no doubt, but I really don't see what the big deal is... well, not for us in the UK anyway - if people get symptoms, they phone nhs direct, and then the nhs send you some tamiflu or whatever.. and you'll probably be fine.
Why so many people are dying in Mexico - I've no idea, but from what I've seen on the news, people have been quite blase about it.
What does worry me a little, is that the WHO has the impression that the UK is quite well equipped to deal with it - the first thing I would've expected was that people would be screened / tested upon returning from Mexico, as did people on flights from Mexico, who were told that they were going to be screened upon return to London... but they weren't.

Yes, I heard some passengers being interviewed about that yesterday and saying they'd expected to be screened but were just allowed through, no questions asked...... It's exactly this sort of thing which accounts for my concern as to whether WHO's confidence in our health procedures was justified.

Re: Pandemic (Swine) Flu
I really havn't seen anything yet that tells me this is something to overly concern ourselves with at this point. Yes of course i have sympathy for the families of those that have died in mexico but i just right now feel this is being completely over stated and borders on sacre mongering.
Flu is something that happens every year in the UK and most places to one degree or another and most years we have many people die from it yet only this year is it a big thing. Right now i have this in the keep an eye on it but don't worry or alter anything i do category and that is where it belongs.
As for some of the speculation about what this is exactly who might have done this and that i really cannot be bothered with such rubbish and i don't think it is adding anything poistive to this subject whatsoever.

I seen this on the news the other day to. Some of them were not even told what was going on at either end of their flight. Does seem a bit unorganised.

I've tried looking on the ITV website but cant find anything about it myself. Infact am just find article's about they are testing people. It was just a passenger being interviewed at an airport so maybe some crossed wires. Or maybe it was an interview from before they were taking it so seriously.
I beleive some companys are cutting flights to mexico now. I would of thought that all flights would of been cut by now if it's as serious as its being made out to be.
