Surely we will get to a point where everything is confirmed... Then this thread won't exist.

I agree entirely. He came across as very credible, and I can see no obvious reason why somebody with an established history on this site would want to lie. I think it's fair to say his information is wrong, now, but I'm sure he posted it in good faith.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

Everyone questioned bomber, and he was adamant that the deal was done and all Virgin had to do was let BT market the channel till launch so they could pick up as many subscribers as possible, he was absolutely positive and shot everyone down with conviction. He probably was a Plant by VM to stop people being tempted to swap to BT whilst the free HD offer was on.

Do you think Virgin would resort to something like this? If they did OfCom would have a field day with this fiasco.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

Ps everyone on here who constantly says we will get Atlantic soon, etc are all secret VM staff trying to make you indecisive about leaving... Then even if you get through to retentions you have them sowing doubts in your minds... Have you ever seen the episode of friends where chandler wants to cancel his gym membership?
Check my sig, you are a number.

No. But conspiracy theories abound on this thread.

Latest one is Richard Branson is really Murdoch, and created Virgin to tease the virgin customers with "coming soon".

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

You have to ask the question also if you think bt sports is coming soon why are retentions giving people 10 quid reduction in price ?? Think virgin have no chance of getting bt sports in xl package if it comes we will be paying bt for it... anyways I'm done. Till tomorrow adios amigos

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

The top and bottom of it is, VM know what BT want for it, if VM are not even talking in the same ball park then a deal won't be done, and they may as well just come out and say it, but they won't admit they aren't going to get it because all those whom might like it will leave, so they constantly string you along by saying talks are ongoing, when if they are not going to pay what BT want then they aren't really trying to get it are they.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

It is true what everyone is saying on this thread, l have watched what BT Sport is about as l have seen it on Freesat.

The annoying part for me is that they have had weeks to sort out this deal for customers, all they kept saying is that they 'are in talks'. Absolute and total rubbish, Since, it has been known that BT Sport was coming, the deal should have been done, the biggest problem with VM is they NEVER keep their customers know what is going on. They send you a crappy mag each month which only has adverts in it.

I think VM will lose a great deal of customers over this. I will stand by what l say, that if BT Sports is NOT on by the time Spurs KO on TV, which is the first or second game of the seaon, l will switch over.

Three years ago we had similar trouble on a sSpurs game and they gave me two months free. (i had a service breakdown)

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

P.s. I don't blame BT trying to get what they charge Sky customers from VM customers, that's not to say I don't think it's overpriced, compared to Sky sports it most defiantly is, but if thats what BT want to charge then I think VM should just offer it at that price, if then only a few people sign up for it they will eventually reduce the price.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2013) Vol. 3.

Has MB had any inside info about a deal and why non was reached? It really would be interesting to see what BomberAf has to say about his inside info. It is a shame that VM didnt get channels as more people can get the channels even at extra cost. Amybe BT think they can rival VM as number 2 TV provider. Do people think that BT are in the sports game for the long term just like Sky is. Sky Sports is over 20 years old, will BT Sport get that milestone? P.S. Changed my details to show i have BT Sport and ESPN
