i think you missed the point..I used an example of how a stat will quite obviously be wrong. but i admit my failing..I forgot who i am trying to explain to..know your audience.
So to help you
...ball, round..man, kick man..man with noise thing, not give "penalty"
Oh, and that is a "snide" comment..just in case it escapes you

Don't get me wrong I'm not claiming bigger teams don't get an advantage when it comes to decisions but lets not pretend it's just Man Utd, or even just the top 4.

You went up a level there Now I was trying to keep it friendly...
A opinion (Viera's) was made without stats to back it up and a response was given with stats.

So why is the focus only when it happens with Utd?
Like I have been saying, the ref's need some sort of help in spotting these fouls in real time, not after the match on Sky.

Come on Colin cheer up as the second half is likely to be better then the first.

Its does seem the temptation to mentioned Everton was just too much for you as you do seem to taking the bait in the last couple of hours my dear chap.

I won't repeat what he said but they were very offensive and meant to be read by the people he was abusing, he sent them those messages. There seems to be a desire to lessen the extent of his abuse to that single message about Muamba as make the sentence seem more egregious than it actually is.
That doesn't mean a jail sentence is warranted of course. However I think it's good to see action taken against these sick messages that are becoming increasingly common on the Internet and Twitter. It's worth taking a look at the messages Stan Collymore receives, it's often a unrelenting stream of explicit, sometimes violent, racial abuse whenever he comments on any topic. This is not a minor problem. It is not 'people being stupid on Twitter'. It's very nasty people hiding behind their perceived anonymity to constantly abuse people because of the colour of their skin or their gender. They have also taken to trolling the Facebook pages of the recently deceased to cause further grief to their families, again this will be tinged with racial and/or sexist abuse if they were not a white male.
|
I think a jail sentence might well have been warranted however while there are plenty more deserving of a place in jail walking the streets I'll stick to my origional stance.
