It had to happen sometime I suppose
FGR would be a good bet for a play off place I reckon.
Let's hope the U's treat this as an annoyance and continue in a similar fashion as the previous twelve matches.

O M G
The worst match-fixing attempt ever has earned Cameroon side Bamboutos a double relegation after their captain Koss Roger gave an envelope containing cash to Federal skipper Nkouma Rim on the pitch - minutes later Rim let Roger score in his side's 3-2 win. (Various)

Q: What's got four arms and no teeth?
A: Man United's strike pairing
Good results all round for Britain's Champions League 'A' Team - tomorrow it's the Remedial Class when we can watch Chelsea explode again, with any luck.

Don't know if you've noticed but there are some individuals on here who follow certain teams and are nowhere to be found when their team loses or has an entire run of below-par performances (ie like all of last season) yet when their team put a good run together they're always in this thread with smartass comments, all of which quickly dry up when they start losing again.
Not noticed that? Strange innit.
Still, Toothless and 3 points clear at the top of the group is enough to keep this prawn sandwich happy

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
This is the great thing about the lovelly sport called FOOTBALL, whatever team you support, l converted all my family to support the yids, and when they went to the 125th anniversary of Spurs, it was the greatest thing that l have ever seen, and especially when Spurs came back to draw the game, it was brilliant, Martin Jol is a great manager, and all this talk about him getting sacked, makes me sick, before he came, the last time we had European football at The Lane, was more than 15 years ago, and MJ has brought it TWICE in two years, that can't be bad, all l wish is that there could be womens football recognised by The FA, football is brilliant - come one you Yids.

Err wish granted, they don't just recognise it, they actively support it by running at least 2 of their competitions and by running the national team

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
what happened at Celtic. Seems a fan rushed onto the pitch and then "touched Dida on the shoulder who then went down holding his face and was subbed"
That's what I heard but not seen any footage of it yet. if anyone has a youtube link or anything would be nice if they could post it.
Seems Celtic were in the wrong for not keeping fans off the pitch and the AC Milan keeper just play acted to make it seem worse.
I seem to remember he did the same during that AC \ Inter game when the flairs came on the pitch he got hit in the back and then went down holding his face

You can see it here.

Personally I think Celtic should be banned from all European competition for at least 10 years, heavily fined and also have points deducted from the SPL as well. Oh and several of their players sacrificed in the centre circle before the next home game.
(Can you tell what team in Glasgow I support )
Basically a fan tapped him on the neck/shoulder and after chasing after him for a few steps the keeper went down when he realised it might get the result reversed.
Celtic will still be in trouble for letting the fan on the pitch but I'd also like to see the keeper done for simulation, especially as he's got previous for it.

Thats just rediculous! I can't believe the club might be punished because of that, the goalie should hold his head in shame - making football an embarassment (and himself!)

They'll probably be punished for letting the fan on the pitch and not for him 'injuring' the keeper. The AC players and management are already distancing themselves from the keeper saying the result should stand as I think they've realised how ridiculous it looked.

Re: Football : Season 2007/2008
as i said I think there are two things here. One the celtic fan getting on the pitch which needs to be looked at and prob a few games behind closed doors.
Two the fact that the AC keeper did a blatant dive and feigned injury. Although Arsenal did the same in the final a few years ago and nearly won the game so I don't think much will be done by UEFA about that
---------- Post added at 10:53 ---------- Previous post was at 10:45 ----------
nice dive from Kaka too in that youtube link
