Re: Formula One Motor Racing
f1 was good racing up until 1994,then it went sour apart from 1998 1999.
but like the man says what goes around comes around.i'm sure bernie will get them racing again when this dull excuse for f1 starts to hit him in the pocket.(low attendences at races less money for bernie, and less bargaining power when it comes to asking tv companies for more money for tv rights).

Re: Formula One Motor Racing
I do remember JV being brave enough to consistently attempt to take eu rouge flat, didnt it end up with his willaims doing barrol rolls though ?
As for more broken parts expect the repair bills at McLaren to go up next year with jpm at the helm.
As for who should go to williams. I think button would be good to make his return to grove as i remember rightly he's still got the chance of going back. Though to be fair atm the BAR is the superiour car so I wouldnt risk moving if i was him. I think someone like massa, would go well in the car perhaps willson too, go on frank you know you want to :-)
K
Correction it was a BAR he put on its roof and so did zonta at the same corner

Huh? I've only ever seen 2 - well, 1 and a half, racing maneouveres in the tunnel - both this season, and both ended up with a big sign saying 'don't do that again'.
Off the top of my head I can't think of a single overtaking point on the circuit, except for maybe Mirabeau & the chicane & only then if the driver in front totally outbreaks himself and drives off the circuit.
And surely you remember about 4 years ago when Coulthard got stuck behind an Arrows for about half an hour and just couldn't get past despite being a vastly superior driver in a vastly superior car?
Yes, it's got a great atmosphere but the racing's the worst in the calendar.
I actually like Indie the best; although I hate ovals -- sooooo boring -- the F1 circuit is great because of the overtaking opps at turn 1 coupled with the way you need totally different set up on the infield from the stretch on the oval, meaning the compromises you make for one part of the lap might give you a racing opp on the other.

Having said that it is funny that attendances at this years F1 races are up on previous years with Silverstone being a sell-out.

i meant the quality of racing, not attendences.but if f1 remains this boring with ms winning every time, attendences will start to drop.

Re: Formula One Motor Racing
http://www.lyddenracecircuit.co.uk/ - If I had to pick ONE racing style, and ONE racing circuit, it would be Rallycross from Lydden Hill - the only place an Escort could race a Porsche, and the result not be a foregone conclusion.
The cars which are best on the tarmac, usually tend to be pretty poor on the rough.
