How about scanning using something else, like Paint Shop Pro?
It does sound a bit big brother though - it maybe a sign of things to come with the TCPA and all that

Photoshop is the de-facto photo editor for the PC platform, which is probably why they introduced it into that instead of Poo shop pro.

i have seen information, that it was down to the US federal reserve,that the 'feature' was inplimented it was done on the quiet,and they did not want it to publicised.

Meh ... have you any idea how galling it is to pay over £600 for a bit of software to see people suggesting other's go steal it ....

Ah it's the "I'd never be able to pay £600 for it, so by taking a copy adobe haven't lost any money. If they charged a reasonable price I'd be able to afford it and would pay for it" argument

Ah yes, the age old "theft is alright if it's something I can't afford" argument. I don't particularly care what people download, if they want to pinch photoshop it's up to them, it's just a slight sting seeing it condoned when over half my monthly salary went towards a copy
