Re: On your knees, peasant!

Questioning isnt a bad thing,

I didnt relaise it was a joke otehrwise I wouldnt have responded in the way I did.

Mannerisms get lost when putting things down in a text format thats the problem with forums.

Re: On your knees, peasant!

From Miriams description I'd say that even the US "citizens" are subjects but by another name.

After all Bush & his cronies control them.

Anyway, stop moaning about our dear old Queenybabe or yu'll find that you soon get your head chopped off

EDIT Er, I've a sneaking suspicion that Canadians also may be subjects.
Err and Australians - they voted to keep the Queen as the head of state.

Hmm, and NZ?, and Bermudans, and Falklanders,

I still think the sun does not set on British Subjects.

Well we are a consititutional monarchy, not a pure monarchy, as such the people and their elected government make decisions for the country.

The queen whilst signing these laws, is not creating them, and will sign something she does not agree with as it has been agreed by our elected representatives.

However, it is interesting that they are taking legal advice over the latest changes to the EU consititution as it threatens their poweres.

So being as the monarchy has limited power in setting of law and taxes etc, the ability to corrupt the process is also limited.
