Thanks, that will help those wanting to downgrade like myself. It's pointless recording programmes if it's going to be such a chore to watch them.

I was going to use the price rise to get rid of VM, but they won't refund the advance line rental that I paid.

Forcing customers to stay or delaying them from leaving is not good PR and means it's unlikely that they will ever come back.

If their product is as good as they think it is, they wouldn't need to stoop to this level.

Why don't you just cancel the TV Richard? That's what I did last year and got a deal on Sky TV (similar to the recent MSE deal) whilst keeping BB (with a loyalty discount) & phone with VM for the same reason as you. Because of the deals it was still cheaper than having everything with VM. Only snag is that this will re-contract you for 12 months on BB & phone.

this is wot I did but I just kept the broadband 200meg for £39 didn't want the phone (BB & PHONE £48) as we all have mobiles.
It works out that I still pay the same as I would if I didn't leave but I get sky sports , movies and multi-
room for free.
