Re: SH3 - Poor WiFi
Looks like if your SH2AC goes fits up you only get a SH2AC as a replacement.

Re: SH3 - Poor WiFi
basically...
If you are on legacy kit (Pre-SHUB1) then you will get upgraded to the SHUB2ac.
If you have a SHUB1 then you will get a SHUB2
If you have a SHUB2 or SHUB2ac then you keep your current kit

It's about time it was retired and sent to the recycling bin. It was never "Fit for purpose" other than as a modem.

Re: SH3 - Poor WiFi
So who do we feedback issues with the SH3 to if we're not on the trial?
Luckily when I rang up to activate it, the guy i spoke to (sounded Scottish?) was aware of the new hubs, but when I called up last night and spoke to the foreign guys they had no idea the white hubs existed so I gave up. Does anyone know if CS have actually been told / trained on the SH3 or is it just a case of I got through to the "wrong" agent?
UPnP doesn't appear to want to work, it's definitely enabled but things that usually work with no config (Plex media server in this case), aren't. I've forwarded the port and it's working fine now but all this sort of stuff "just worked" on the tp-link I was using at my parents'

I would go to the VM forum, but you're correct UPnP doesn't currently work at this time, don't waste your time ringing tech support or CS as they can't fix something that is a known issue.
To get around any other issues until new firmware is released drop it into modem mode if you have your own router.

Re: SH3 - Poor WiFi
Ah right, thanks for that at least I know it's a known issue.
Seems a bit silly to give these out to new customers, with known problems, but not make those customers aware of the known problems!
Looking into a new router now, the one I was using was quite old and didn't even provide 5GHz so I'd rather get something a bit more up to date.

Re: SH3 - Poor WiFi
I'm on the hub 3 trial and not now whatever they are doing with it lol but I had problems getting it activated and the indian call centre staff didn't have a clue what it was, they kept telling me to reset the modem and look for lights on it that weren't even there. when I tried explaining to them it was a hub 3 on trial from VM they just wrote me off as if I was playing them off or something and kept repeating themselves.
It's been ok so far though

Re: SH3 - Poor WiFi
Not all of Offshore is completely terrible, but stuff like this isn't a surprised, their training is poor and usually given out about 3 months late. They probably genuinely have no clue what the SH3 is.

Re: SH3 - Poor WiFi
The guy I spoke to had no idea, even though I told him it was "the new white hub 3" he kept saying "No sir, it is black" I just gave up and got more sense from here anyway.
