Re: Beer duty cut by 1p a pint

I doubt the price of beer will go down, and the publicans will pocket that 1p

Re: Beer duty cut by 1p a pint

If anyone believes in all that crap Osborne came out with today, need there heads examined.

Its an election con. What they could have done, was to scrap the Bedroom Tax. You have all noticed that he will not increase fuel duty - an election con.

After the election - IF they get back in, they will put everything up. I don't smoke - But, why they cant increase the cost of that to £20 per packet - people would still buy them. But then if people didn't buy them, it would save on people going to A&E.

And did you see Clegg's face. The face that says that he will have to resign after a heavy defeat at the election

Given the rate at which pubs are closing, they need it.

Its not a con, for the time being there are savings to be had.

Thats a plus no matter how you look at it really. Just be bloody happy for once!!

Even if the Torys gave everybody a gold brick Arthur would find something wrong with it.

They'd want 2 gold bricks back in return.

I cannot believe it that members want a Conservative Government again. Don't you have any sympathy for people that are struggling to survive. And depend on Footbanks.

I have a job and even l am struggling to make ends meet

There'd be more chance of that if Brown hadn't sold off a massive chunk of our gold reserves in order to prop up his fake boom.

I don't think that would be a good idea. It would cost the country a ton and probably push up inflation. It would also disproportionatly help the strong as gold is very heavy and doing it in brick form would harm those who can't pick up such a weight. Plus the increase in crime it would cause when everyone knows every house has a gold brick would be off the charts.
