But yeah in general the DVLA seem to charge through the nose for pretty much anything.

It's not fun. I've had to do the equivalent of a couple of driving tests and it shows how many bad habits creep in over the years.

If this did come in (possibly for people with 6+ points on their license?) I think a test retake every 10 years or so would be benificial.

I had to take one 4.5 years after I initially passed for a certificate to say that I could be a taxi driver, the con of it is, the certificate only lasts a year (luckily you only need it once assuming you keep your taxi license going), you don't get an additional code on your driving license, and it costs £75.

Suffice it to say, I was bricking it as much as when I first passed, it doesn't get any easier
