Re: bbc HD Grand Prix 14th March

Errr... right.

So it will be shown in HD when it's filmed in HD - i.e. in the UK?

No.

It might be shown in HD next season, but this one is all SD.

They have HD cameras at a couple of the tracks, but the in car cameras are all SD, and the onsite editing and broadcast units are all SD, hence there is only an SD stream available for broadcasters.

Praise the Lord! So I was right and you were wrong, just admit it straight away next time. Saves all the fuss.

I never said otherwise . You seem to be arguing with yourself on that point.

Anyway, very much looking forward to the day when broadcasting the F1 in HD becomes a reality .

Re: bbc HD Grand Prix 14th March

according to Bernie Ecclestone in january there is no chance of getting F1 in HD anytime soon as there is just not enough demand for it. he said that 1 channel does not make it viable commercially.

one good thing is once Eurosport HD arrives we will get WTCC in HD along with Moto GP and Superbikes. sure its not F1 but at least its some motorsport in HD.
