No problem with it not being backwardly compatible. Any good apps I have will be redeveloped for it or similar ones will be developed, and if they aren't, then it's no huge loss.
It's the unnecessary restrictions they're putting on it that gets my goat.
At the moment manufacturers can make phones that are different not just in looks.
