Re: VM 2mb to get free 10 mb upgrade?
You will have to wait until May
And you won't get the £2 increase until your £10 offer runs out

By which time ,if I am correct, the price for 10mb bb will be the same as if you continued into a 2nd year of contract with the 2mb bb?
In which case, for those wishing to have at least a further 12 months contract with virginmedia, taking up the upgrade bundle offer of tv, phone and 10mb for £14 a month would save money, would it not?

Re: VM 2mb to get free 10 mb upgrade?
Not really as its £14 + £11 line rental = £25
Wheras BB M once any offers run out will be £20 from 1st May (or £21.25 on paper bills)

Re: VM 2mb to get free 10 mb upgrade?
Can anyone tell me what the difference (apart from £10) between a 2MB / 4MB -> 10MB upgrade and an existing 10MB connection?
Surely if downgraded to 4MB and was then upgraded I'd be better off per month?
I don't think VirginMedia got the marketing right here ....
Cheers

Re: VM 2mb to get free 10 mb upgrade?
I'm on BB M, TV XL, Phone M for £50/month paid by DD with ebilling at the moment. If I upgrade BB to L and agree to a new 12 month contract, will I end up paying £34.50 for first 3 months and £46/month thereafter plus £50 credit on my bill according to build your own bundle section of VM website? That would be a saving of £84.50(3x£11.50+£50) and £4/month and as the website says that the prices are the new ones(ie from 1st May 2009) that would include any suggested £2/month increase.

*Some of our prices are changing on 1st May 2009, and all the prices on this website are the new prices. We've updated the prices on our website now because we bill for our services in advance

Re: VM 2mb to get free 10 mb upgrade?
No you won't - as you already have all 3 services you cannot order them as new online which you need to do to qualify for the £50 online order credit
Also as you already have XL tv you would not qualify for the 3 month TV reduction
You probably would be able to get the £46 bundle though

I don't think you've got your information right either. There is no 4mb service and hasn't been for a while.. And there currently is no downspin option from BBI:L anyway.

Re: VM 2mb to get free 10 mb upgrade?
Contacted CS, they offered £1.50 extra for move to BB XL, but £7 extra for BB L which seems silly.
Put through to customer relations and was offered(didn't threaten to leave or anything like that, just asked for a bundle deal) £38.75/month(was £50) on an 'indefinite basis' moving from BB M to L. That's better than the deal for new customers. Upgrade to BB L was even done quickly whilst still on phone. Paying £11.25/month less for an improved service. Result.

See, and people say that VM never give existing customers anything
