If I don't want to see the red button on any channel all I do is press pause on my Sky+ box for a couple of seconds and then press play. Red button never appears then.

All very good - but why have a workaround when VM have no crappy red button at all on sky sports

Over 2 years since I dumped my $ky to lose the red menace - I still have a freesat so will check out that time out setting - thanks
