Re: Help finding mobo diagram
Thanks for the manual but, it doesn't actually show what leads go where, only a rough motherboard layout

That's all there seems to be though. Trouble is, those trigem boards were made especially for eMachines.

Re: Help finding mobo diagram
My money is that the connectors are as follows
1) Power switch
2) Power LED (This will be the one that looks like a bank of 3 with one pin missing, the green wire going towards the back of the machine)
3) HD LED, red wire to back of case
The way to do it is by trial and error, plug in the power switch to the back pair of pins, disconnect the hard drive but leave the monitor on, press the power button, if the fan on the processor spins, you found the power switch, if not try the next pair of pins...
Once you have that, try the power LED next, generally the green wire goes to the rear of the machine, but if you don't find a pair that runs that way, try it with the wires reversed,
After that, the hard drive led - red wire to the same direction as the green, on the last pair of pins., then reconnect the hard drive

Well I thought we had it, connected the power switch leads and hit the button, fans fired up pulled the power connected the power led leads, fired up, ..... nothing, the fans don't even turn tried disconnecting power led and trying only the power switch but nothing, strange
Down but not beaten, got all day to mess around
