Re: {Merged} O.c.d.

I watched that programme having thought I'd avoid it as it looked like it would be freak show TV. It was actually very sensitive and interesting. Having suffered from anxiety I could empathise with the despair one woman had at recognising the irrationale nature of her behaviour and yet not being able to address it. There were lots of uplifting moments too though as the people involved supported each other and made their own personal breakthroughs.

To me it looked all too easy to spiral into OCD from other mental health disorders which is not a nice thought but, on the other hand, makes it easier to understand and sympathise with OCD sufferers.

Diamond, I think you are suffering from exam related stress and anxiety which is pretty normal. Summer in the Manchester sun (!) will no doubt help you get your head together.

Re: {Merged} O.c.d.

I think most people suffer from at least a mild form of OCD.

I know when I wash up the dinner pots I have to place all the plates and dishes in a specific order (of size) and the knives, forks and spoons in separate holders, with all the cups in front.

I only do this because that way they all fit neatly in the drainer tray and can drain properly (well that's my excuse anyway ).

My missus insists all furniture and ornaments are placed exactly around the room to within a mm or two and my daughters have an insistence all their clothes, CDs and books are scattered across their respective bedrooms in an exact formation !!
