Re: STB connection problem

Laest episode....Still having no joy. Lots of calls to Tech Support and varying advice. Have uninstalled and re-installed network adapter and that is fine.I get an IP address of 10.XX etc but can't reprovision. Now having a second engineer visit on Saturday to check my cable as the connection is intermittent.
If this engineer visit gives no joy I may have to abandon NTL.
PS I downloaded Spybot over dialup and found 5 registry changes from a DSO but no sure if that had any bearing on my problem !

What a way to spend half of my day off !

Re: STB connection problem

Success at last !! Engineer came today and confirmed that
(a) STB was OK
(b) My network card was fine
So having received a straight through cable in the post this a.m. we connected that and got to the NTL reprovision page. I had forgotten my PID and rang Tech Support who gave me. But their services were down and when I got past the first screen the server was down ! Oh how I laughed ........3 hours later I'm at last back online.
Nil points to the Tech Support who told me spyware was stopping me re-provisioning - that has to be the lamest way to get me off his phone line I've ever heard.

Thanks to all who helped with suggestions.
