What is important is the balance of the customer base. Those that see Football as an important part of their TV package and those that don't and Virgin probably have a more accurate picture of that than anyone on this forum.
Believe me when I say I hope you get your BT Sports. If it is a stand alone extra or a carriage deal like with Sky then all well and good. However, if not and the likes of me have to pay significantly more for our XL package because of it - then VM could lose a lot more customers.
|
i'm confident you would be proven wrong on that. no way would more customers leave for a price hike than for if they didn't get BT sport. look at their twitter today. there's price hikes all the time anyway, and hardly anyone leaves. it's expected. Sky price hikes even more. so there'd be no point.
also don't worry about me. I will get the channel. I have freesat via sky. i would just rather have it on our family VM setup. as i want to upgrade to VIP asap. or a lower tariff with a £15 p/m BT Sport sub ontop.

At the risk of being called a grump and a load of abuse my way, I'll be pleased when this is settled one way or the other. Although I agree, I would hate to be working in retentions should the channels not come to Virgin.

Yes, you have finally understood not all of us give a monkeys about football.
Try not be be so offensive. I fully understand some people like yourself view football as the holy grail, but others, like myself could not give a stuff. I would rather Virgin delivered quality
