If Newcastle win tomorrow its surely us vs. Liverpool for the second Europa spot. Plus if it is still in the balance on the last day I'm sure Everton will suddenly forget how to defend.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
The FA have released a statement that anyone who passes the ball to Andy Carroll is to be booked for time wasting.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
Good luck to the Swans today - only one home loss this season and considering Arsenal's poor defensive away record, we could be seeing a very welcome Welsh win over North London's "finest"

Yes it should be a interesting match and l for one will be hoping that Arsenal stumble as it would help our european qualification cause a bit.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I was a referee, and was always told trainers that IF a penalty was saved, then the penalty taker wasn't allowed to score from the rebound, but another player could.
I noticed from a recent game that Rooney took the penalty, it was saved and Rooney scored from the penalty and it was allowed, surely this is unfair.
Maybe there might be someone out there who can tell me different.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I believe if it rebounds off the keeper, the penalty taker can score from that (if that was the case here).
That is confirmed by this referee's site
Quote:
he must not play the ball a second time until it has touched another player
If the penalty taker touches the ball a second time before it has touched another player, an indirect free kick is awarded to the defending team.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
I know that Sky's 'Match Choice' has been working for a while now on VM via the red button but today I can get full Sky interactive football via the 'Match Choice' red button, how long has that been live?
Jim.

Re: Football Season 2011/12
The last time Arsenal won in Wales they won the FA Cup, all the way back in 2005

Silly penalty to give away.
---------- Post added at 16:56 ---------- Previous post was at 16:21 ----------
Actually just seen the replay of the penalty. It wasn't one. Looked like it in real time but the Swansea player played the ref there...These decisions against us are starting to build up now.
