Sounds just like my 9year old niece knowing more about electronics than some Comet staff.

Yeah I noticed that. Really rubbing our noses in it.
Virgin really are a bunch of clowns.
Hopefully I'll get the new HD channels before the end of the summer.

We aint moaning just peeved at the lack of communication and it clear most of the VM staff have no clue whats going,What are we supposed to do congratulate them for being incapable of communicating with there customers properly. The very least they could have down is put some of the HD programs on the new channels on VOD,But no cleary dont give a **** or aint got the brains to do that.Sorry probably be accussed of moaning again i forgot we aint aloud to voice our opinions without being accused of moaning

Just because you aren’t as frustrated by this as some others, there is no need to belittle their feelings. And BTW the reason why we should complain is because the way some of us have been treated is shabby. I know that complaining will not change the current situation but perhaps by expressing our dissatisfaction VM will think more carefully about how they handle things in the future.
Fact is the roll out would have happened in the way that it is, there would always be a staged roll out, probably no way round that and yes some of us are going to have to wait a bit longer than others, but what they COULD have done is to have handled the process of disseminating the information better. The fact that we only find out about what is happening through user forums is quite frankly appaling. And my understanding is that some people approaching VM directly to find out this information are not just misled but are given wrong information. This level of service is not acceptable.
If we don’t express our dissatisfaction - and as loudly as we can - then there is no incentive for VM to clean up their act.
I appriciate that user forums are probably not the most effective places to let VM know of our frustrations (I dont for one minute think VM have a policy of monitoring these forums - otherwise they would be better informed (my appologies to the members of VM staff that regularly DO visit and comment on these forums, your input is valuable, I am pretty sure that you do this off your own back and that it is not because of a policy by VM)).
To add validity to our complaints then we should also direct them at VM.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
I have always taken the view, if I'm not happy, i'll move.
If I'm screwed, and can't move..I reflect the better aspects of an elephant, I don't forget and do something when I can.
Complaining is ok, but as poster above says, this is not cutting the muster (prefer the original than mustard )
Wait, am I complaining about complaining!...noooo, the vicious circle has started

agree completely, VM are not going to take notice whether you get stressed or not so my point of view is there are a lot more serious things for me to get angy over and a few HD channels being missing until they upgrade my headend is not going to get done any quicker with me complaining about it.

Spot on Thankyou

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2010)
The most important thing for Virgin Media was to get the HD channels.. which rightly so, they were proud of getting and wanted to share with all it's customers...
Later, when it came to implimenting the distrubution of the channels a further decision was made not to WASTE MONEY on upgrading soon to be defunct headends.
This was then communicated via VM's My Virgin Media website that it was going to be rolled out in stages and completed by early June.
It does start to put off some of the VM staff on this forum from posting and helping out, when colleagues are being ripped to bits for making a mistake or not knowing as much as others.
Some staff deal with billing and accounts and are not always up to date with things like NGTV rollouts.

I feel this ongoing discussion about existing HD channels and NGTV not being implemented yet in certain areas is driven by issues such as are we going to miss any of the ITVHD world cup matches in HD (understandable)
Otherwise people should just relax in the worst case these HD channels will only be a maximum 2 months away
