You may think this labelling strange, but nut allergy & peanut allergy are two different things - peanuts are not nuts, some people can eat peanuts but an almond would kill them - hence the warning.

Silly me. Although I knew peanuts were a legume I never thought about the nut warnings on that level. Thanks idiosyncratic.

You're welcome, Jo. I would never condone putting 'may contain' warnings on food just for a get out, but sometimes it is necessary, even if it seems silly.
Just don't get me started on the difference between allergy & intolerance - that would be way off topic
