Virgin Media hope to launch E4 HD, SciFi HD, Discovery HD, Eurosport HD and ITV1 HD (Not in Scotland or Ireland) in all areas of Virgin Media by the end of this month. (Source Post 1)

Is this because the NGTV upgrade isn't necessary or because they expect it to be finished by then? Great news if it is true.

Virgin WILL launch all the listed HD Channels in areas of Virgin Media who has joined NGTV (Viewers will see BBC London on Channel 937) in April but all non NGTV Headend will not see the listed HD Channels until Virgin update that Headend - and Virgin hope to do this by the end of June.

Unfortunately that isn't what page one says exactly MB but I do understand. Was just hoping things had changed a bit.

It says in April E4 HD WILL LAUNCH IN SOME AREAS on Virgin Channel 145.

Remember ITV 1 HD will launch on all headends in England and Wales on 2nd April. It's not NGTV dependant

Also they expect ESPN UK to add a 2nd channel this summer which will result in no further cost due to the agreement they have with Virgin.

I know about ''More Discovery Channels'' coming my insider told me months ago.

I did see rumours on Digital Spy about EPSN looking to launch ESPN2 sometime this year.

Ofcom report into Pay TV is out later this week.

Media reports say Ofcom to tell Sky to cut their Sports and Movies channels prices. With Virgin set to cut their prices for Sky Sports and Sky Movies by the start of next season.
