Re: what music are you listening to?
OK folks ...
I love all kinds of music - but rock, progressive rock, pop and stuff really gets me. Anyway, I have sorta listened to classical now and again but its never really done much for me .....
All change ...
Please, go and listen to Karl Jenkins - "The Armed man"..
Try the track 'Sanctus' ....
For anyone who is stressed, needs a break, needs to get away from the kids for 8 minutes - just put this track on the headphones ... its wicked !!!

Re: what music are you listening to?
I'm on my own rotation. I have about 3000 songs on my laptop (which I will soon cull) which I have on rotation. Lately I've been really jonesing for singer-songwriters, pop-punk, and rap-core (which is a fading beast). The night before last I went to a great Jacob Moon concert, so his CD has been spinning.
I write reviews of CCM for an Edmonton magazine, and more recently online, so I am fortunate I get free CD's, enough anyway to curb my lust. Lately they have been a little dissappointing. At the concert Thursday I was able to flash my media credentials and land a free E.P. from the guy who opened for moon ( Matthew Walko.
About 80% of the stuff on my laptop is CCM. I find the only genres I can't listen to when working are good Hip Hop (I find the lyrics and rhymes too engaging) and Balkan folk music.

"When a Blind Man Cries"....Deep Purple.
Superb track which should have been on the "Machine Head" album.

That is an excellent track and one I've not heard for around two decades or more. Cheers for the reminder!

Re: what music are you listening to?
As it's Glenn Tilbrook's birthday I have been playing the first solo CD by Chris Difford (wierd logic I know!). Anyway, fave tracks have always been "No Show Jones" and "Trafalgar Square". It's best if you know the history of the band, as it gives the songs a very poignant meaning. All good though, even if you don't.
