Sorry to butt in - but is this Sky Sports 3, 4 and F1 in HD - with SS1 and SS2 costing a sub?

The HD charge on Sky is for all HD channels not just Sports & Movies. If Virgin was to up I would suggest they would need to do something with the XXL package to compensate and they won't do that.

If Sky Atlantic has fallen out of the negotiations along the way, maybe this is HBO?? Unfortunately, all the content is likely to be provided on a 'pay per view' basis, which would be incredibly expensive and not acceptable to me. I would be ecstatic if VM managed to pull off a deal based on a subscription (even if we could only obtain the first run stuff on PPV).

I have today found out the name of that USA Broadcaster but I was given an 'Do Not Post' order on it.

They're already doing it my source has said on more than one occasion the XL pack is slowly moving to being VMs version of Skys HD pack, all sd channels are going to move into the L or m+ pack, also a very basic pack is to launch called Moretv this will offer Sky1 and a handful of other channels ontop of the TVM pack.
Moretv will sit just between tvm and tvm+, also other new packages are coming too including a HD pack for about £5 extra pm (price not confirmed) you can have the hd channels relevant to your pack, say for example you have tvm+ you can get sly1hd etc for a extra £5p/m (price not confirmed).

Well, "do not post" has three initials as does the likely US broadcaster.

All3Media sold to Discovery and Liberty Global in deal worth £500m.

Skins and Midsomer Murders maker All3Media has been sold to US media giants Discovery and Liberty Global in a deal thought to be worth more than £500m.
Discovery Communications, which last month pulled out of the Channel 5 auction, and Virgin Media-owner Liberty Global will be joint owners of All3Media.
The sale price is significantly less than the £750m-plus that All3Media had originally sought when it went up for sale in 2011.

I too heard about them considering an HD pack a while ago, (think I posted it on here). The price being mooted was £5 per month, so it looks like they have decided to go ahead. Not heard anything about More TV , but have previously heard about them morphing XL into their version of the full HD pack.

Why would it need to go up on VM ? The Sky Sports/Sky Movies HD charge on Sky is £5.25.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 2
I'm fine keeping XL package just for the hd channels as i'm already paying that. do we think the sports HD will move into XL and additional charge for HD sports will be dropped???
i doubt this as everyones bill would go down but it'd be the dream wouldnt it...

Not quite, you need the basic HD first which costs £32 a month before you are allowed anywhere near the HD sports & movies.
