WiFi on the go

Virgin Media broadband customers will be able to download our app and then seamlessly connect their WiFi-enabled devices to the Internet via Virgin Media WiFi when they are out and about. We’ll let you know when the app is available to download. Virgin Mobile customers can use their WiFi-enabled smartphone or device in the same way.

How will I get online with Virgin Media WiFi?

The easiest way to get online with Virgin Media WiFi will be to use our new app. It will be available to download from the App Store and Google Play soon.

Possibly the update that stopped Cisco routers getting a DHCP WAN address using Multicast?

Re: FAQ on Virgin Media's WiFi Sharing

My SH2 is still on V1.01.29.
It has always been neglected in terms of updates, the previous one was delayed as well. This was one on the original SH2 trial and it doesn't seem to have forgotten...

Does the update give me anything apart from the WiFi sharing?

Yes, non-propagation of that fault into the SH2ac when using the same base code as the SH2.

Are we talking the same Superhub here? TH is referring to the SH2.

Mine is on v2.01.03 but the VM WiFi is no longer advertised. So that's been put on hold, it would seem.

Re: FAQ on Virgin Media's WiFi Sharing

My SH2 (non-ac) is on V2.01.03, which is definitely a newer software version as it only upgraded to it about a month ago.

Re: FAQ on Virgin Media's WiFi Sharing

Don't you have to switch the SH off and on again in order for it to update?

Paul needs new kit. Give the man new kit!!!!!!!!!!

JPAC you do if theres a glitch of some sort. Look in your network log to see if theres a failed update/download

Re: FAQ on Virgin Media's WiFi Sharing

Still on V1.01.29 after a power cycle and a separate reboot, so I think the original trial SH2 boxes may still be separate from the normal updates as discussed back in May last year when 1.01.29 was being pushed.

Last time I had to ask for the update to be pushed, perhaps I'll give them a call in the morning.
