Broadband CD download
Hi All,
A friend of mine needs an NTL cd to reconnect his BB, but NTL keep playing him around and he needs it for his uni work ASAP. I sent him the link to order a new one but that will take 14 days, is there any way to download the files, burn the cd and use that?
Thanks

Re: Broadband CD download
You don't really need a CD - unless he's using USB and needs the drivers.
Does he already have an existing ntl BB account?

Re: Broadband CD download
No, the problem is he got disconnected by mistake and NTL re-connected him but they said he needed to reactivate it by using the CD.

Re: Broadband CD download
Has he tried to simply reconnect the modem and see if he has a connection?

Yes, he tried that, but the connection light doesnt go solid. NTL told him to run the CD and enter his password to activate it?

Re: Broadband CD download
If the Connection Light doesn't go solid, he won't be able to activate an account!

Re: Broadband CD download
The ready light won't go solid because the modem will have a cancel configuration file.
As far as i remember if the reconnect process is being followed properly, your friend won't need to do anything- ntl will reconnect his account, and his connection will be back up and running.
