motorola surfboard sb5101e freezing

I'm on the blueyonder 10mb/s service

My cable modem keeps locking up every couple of weeks requiring a hard reset (bottom amber light goes solid)

Anyone encountered this before and has a resolution ?

Re: motorola surfboard sb5101e freezing

thanks. it would be nice to no why. a freind of mine has one of the older (big white not ure on name) motorola surfbord modems. and the only time she aint been able to get only is when she miss's the bill date. or theres a network outage.

ive been on blueyonder since the sirf unlimited was brought out. i like telewest and refuse to use another provider. but if this keeps happening i dunno what to do

well guys in the now dont see anything about it, heres an idea start caling up tech support 0845 142 0000 find the bbi tech suport option, and evry time it happens call up, it will get loged after a week of it they will see there is a problem becouse of so meny calls on it and replace it for you.

it wont get replaced right away untill there see theres really is a problem 5+ calls will get them to do that for you.

check this thread out http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/sh...640#post779640

and if the problem is related to you pc and not the modem or an outage you do have to pay for it, becouse they are getting the service it you pc that has the issue ( no the ISP does not have to take you by the hand about how to set up your computer for connecting ) rant over, in a bad mood.
