Re: New Speeds - June 1st
i dont know about a 1mb upload speed, but there are rumours that when the ntl tiers all get switched to 10mb, with the current 10mb users staying unlimited, the 34.99 tier will switch to 20mb, but again .. this is just a rumour lol

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
I would just like a working broadband connection ... is that too much to ask?

Of course not but the moderators here don't work for ntl and are not responsible for any issues you may have with ntl.
This board is here for all customers, and is divided into topics for ease of use. It would get extremely messy if people posted in several totally unrelated threads. This one is dealing with the speed upgrades on June 1st.

Ermm ok.
2Mbit/200k -> 4Mbit, 400k. 10Mbit unlimited. Convo over really if we can only deal in facts
Speculation is always good, even if it's unlikely

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
Whats happening with newsgroups?
I believe Telewest has access to every group. Is NTL going to be the same?

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
It would be great if NTL would carry the bigger binary groups, but I would be surprised, so TW carries the big binaries ?

Already been answered: No.
This is because if they do that people on 2Mbps will downgrade to stay at the same speed they've been at for the last 12 months (ish) at a lower price.

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
You could say that's what some 10meg customers may decide to do .

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
I had a nice lil 'letter' from NTL to say that prices were changing for some customers from June 1st, no mention of a speed upgrade though?

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
Do these price changes relate to broadband?
If so, it may be a good idea to post the changes.
