Linksys BEFSR41 version 3

Bonjour,

Can anyone tell me where i can buy the linksys befsr41 version 3 router, i currently have the version 2 but apparently it's not allowing me to get the full 10meg d/l speeds i should be getting. I've looked on Amazon, and searched kelkoo but can't seem to find one anywhere apart from one on ebay. any ideas?

Also, is there a way i can completely bypass the need for the router, and just plug the rj45 straight into my mac/xbox from the modem? i tried it but it doesn't work.

Re: Linksys BEFSR41 version 3

you have to turn the computer/xbox & modem off, plug the modem into the rj45 socket, then turn on the modem, let the lights settle (about 20-30 seconds), then turn on the computer/xbox & let it boot normally - you should get a connection.

- you have to 'power cycle' the modem every time you change the device plugged into it

- dunno about the V3 router, though, sorry..
