upload speed?

I'm currently uploading some files to my ntl wespace and the max I'm getting is 15.20kb/s. I'm on the 2MB service and thought I would be getting at least 20kb/s as I thought it was done on a ration of 10:1 (download:upload).
Am I right in thinking this or not?

cheers

Re: upload speed?

max upload is 200Kbits, so 25KB/s

15KB/s is a tad slow, yeah... is anything else using bandwith? other computers (f you have a router), or any P2P software?

Re: upload speed?

no it was just me through my router using smartftp. I shall do some more tests. Come to think of it I've never had an upload speed to 25kb/s, whats the best way of testing your actual upload speed capability?

cheers

That test is accurate on download for me, but on upload it gives me a reading of 127Mbps always.

Re: upload speed?

200kbit is less then 25kB especially when factong in overheads it will be nearer 20-22kB.
