I Need Help!! Cos T/s Wont Help Me

ive just bought a new modem the ntl 250 i had the 200 but my service for 10meg was awful and reading the threads on that the new 250 seems to slove alot of issues anyway thats not my problem i called t/s and asked them to register my modem it took them 16MINS to tell me that i need an engineer to come out and install it 16mins what the hell are they doing there dont india train there staff anyway after he told me that i need an engineer he promptly said good bye he was no help at all a complete waist of my time he didnt book one or put me through to someone who could im now starting to doubt ntl there customer services in inida are driving people away what i want to know is si there a number i can phone that i will get through to someone in the u.k who can help me with this because i cant keep dealing with india i dont have the time for that please please help me thanks !!!!!

You can not buy these modems, look on the bottom of them there is a sticker saying "property of ntl" you have been ripped of you are handling stolen goods. The tech you spoke to did the correct thing, if your 200 modem is faulty ring faults and a tech will come out and fix it.

SORRY MATE YOU HAVE JUST WASTED HOW EVER MUCH YOU SPENT NTL WILL NOT TOUCH IT WITH A BARGE POLE

Nope you aren't supposed to be buying your own modem, and ntl won't install it for you.

The 200 is fine in most circumstances, that probably wasn't the fault to be honest could have been other issues. Harlow has been problematic historically.

So you've wasted money buying a nice doorstop, wasted your time calling tech support about the stolen modem (it wasn't the person who sold it to you's property to begin with, they remain property of ntl), and wasted your time posting here, no-one can or will help you.

It is a pretty doorstop though isn't it?

ntl will not hunt you down, if you have a problem with you sacm ring and ntl will fix the fault, they can not fix it if they do not know about it.

Sorry to hear you've been had, but you could alwasy make your NTL:200 look like a NTL:250 now

The answer to the initial question as to why the 250 modem won't work has been given: Unless modems are supplied direct from ntl they cannot be registered with them. Attempting to connect modems not supplied direct by ntl, can be considered as theft of services, and is not a matter for discussion on Cable Forum.

If you wan't assistance with why your ntl supplied modem and service is not operating as you expect, please start a thread specific to that.
