Hopefully someone can answer from CF team, if its meant to be a automatic firmware upgrade?

I am interested to know what this means and if NTL can set it to allow. My modem has ignoreProvisioningUpgrade and still on old firmware. Maybe they set it to allowProvisioningUpgrade when an area has been upgraded and is allowed to download the new firmware?
Any techy people have any more information on these options? TA!
I just wish NTL would publish information along the lines of what areas have been upgraded and people are allowed to go to 10meg and what areas havent.
I remember a conversation I had with a senior NTL person a while back now saying that I would be amoungst the first group of people to get 10meg

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
lol, yeah my letter said i would be 1st to have 10meg also, at this rate i'll be last.
What with my account showing 10meg at NTL's end and my NTL home 120 modem still on old firmware with Software Upgrade AdminStatus : ignoreProvisioningUpgrade , i get the feeling that IF and WHEN they do a automatic switchon that i'll get missed

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
I'd take a risk there and toggle off that 'ignore' setting.
update:-
I've just checked mine and you can't change it!
mine is set as
"Software Upgrade AdminStatus : allowProvisioningUpgrade"

Re: *ALL* ntl 10MB Discussion (Part 3)
Well, I still havent received my speed boost up to 10mb from 3mb after my phone call to NTL at 18:30 last night, after they had told me to reboot my PC after about an hour.
My log is still displaying reboot entries identical to that of the previous page, no obvious file has been downloaded to my modem.. Any suggesions?
Thanks
Dan

The change might still be "pending" on their system, in which case you wont receive the new file until the change has gone through.
